Issue: What are the Customization Website Guidelines for the Design Bundles Corporate License?

Resolution:

As a valued corporate licensee, you have access to a wide range of fonts, graphics, illustrations, and design elements to enhance your Company-owned website and customer experiences. To ensure you make the most of your corporate license while respecting our terms and conditions, we've outlined the guidelines for customizing websites and platforms.

Please note that these guidelines provide a summary of key points. You can read our full corporate license for comprehensive details here.

Fonts in Web-Based Apps and Platforms

You have the freedom to use our fonts on your Company-owned website within web-based applications, programs, platforms, or interfaces (collectively referred to as "Platform"). These fonts can be utilized by your customers or users to create text designs. However, there are specific conditions to meet:

Covered Usage:

- Output Format: The fonts must be used to create designs that are delivered to your Company's customers or users in a non-editable, flattened digital format or printed onto physical end products.

- File Protection: Fonts should be used in a way that safeguards the files from access by any third party, preventing hotlinking or direct downloading from the source code of the viewer-facing website page.

Fonts in Web-Based Shops within Other Marketplaces

You can also upload fonts to your Company-operated, web-based shop hosted within another company's marketplace or website. This empowers your Company's end users to create text designs within preformatted templates. Notable examples include platforms like Templett or Corjl. Here are the key considerations:

Covered Usage:

- Output Format: The host system should deliver the completed designs to your Company's customers in a non-editable, flattened digital format (e.g., PDF) or printed onto physical end products.

- File Protection: Fonts must be used in a way that safeguards the files from access by third parties, preventing hotlinking or direct downloading from the source code of the customer-facing website page.

Modifying Graphics and Design Objects

Your corporate license permits you to modify graphics, illustrations, clipart, or other design objects. These can then be combined with other elements, such as graphics or text, to create entirely new and transformative works. These modified works can be uploaded to various platforms, systems, or interfaces. However, there are certain limitations:

Covered/Limited Usage:

- Transformation Requirement: Purchased elements must be transformed to create new and original works. Please refer to our Transformative Guidelines for examples of acceptable modifications, combinations, and transformations.

Using As-Is Graphics in Larger Designs

You are allowed to use as-is graphics, illustrations, or other design elements within apps, programs, interfaces, systems, or platforms where these elements become part of larger overall designs created by your Company's customers. Nevertheless, there are specific conditions to adhere to:

Covered/Limited Usage:

- Value Limitation: The licensed product, in its original form, should not constitute the majority of the final design's value.

- Output Format: The Platform must produce either finished physical goods (e.g., printed invitations, greeting cards) or flattened digital products intended for your Company's customers to print their own physical goods (e.g., printable PDFs).

- File Protection: Original purchased design elements must be used in a way that safeguards the files from access by third parties, preventing hotlinking or direct downloading from the source code of the customer-facing website page.

Conclusion

We hope these guidelines provide clarity on how to make the most of your corporate license while customizing websites, apps, and platforms. Adhering to these guidelines ensures that you're in compliance with our terms and conditions while maximizing the creative potential of your corporate subscription.
