How to uninstall fonts

How to uninstall a font on Windows:

Step 1: Access Font Settings

Press the Windows key on your keyboard or click on the Windows icon in the taskbar to open the Start Menu.

Type "Font settings" and press Enter or select "Font settings" from the search results.

Step 2: Select the Font to Uninstall

In the Font Settings window, you will see a list of all the installed fonts on your system. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the font you want to uninstall.

Step 3: Click on the font you wish to remove to select it

A new window will open with information about the font. Click the "Uninstall" button to remove the font from your system.

Step 4: Confirm Uninstallation

Windows will prompt you to confirm your decision. Click "Yes" to proceed with the uninstallation.

Step 5: Your font is now uninstalled

Once the process is complete, you will see a notification confirming that the font has been uninstalled. You can now close the Font Settings window.

How to uninstall a font on a Mac:

Step 1: Open Finder, then Font Book
Click on the "Finder" icon in your Dock or press Command + Space to open Spotlight Search. Type "Font Book" and press Enter to open the Font Book application.

Step 2: Locate the Font

In Font Book, you'll see a list of all the installed fonts on your Mac, organized by categories like "User" and "Computer." Browse through these categories to find the font you want to uninstall.


Step 3: Select the Font

Click on the font you wish to remove to select it. You can click on multiple fonts by holding down the Command key while clicking on each font.


Step 4: Uninstall the Font

With the font(s) selected, click on the "File" menu in the top-left corner of the Font Book window.

Choose "Remove" or "Remove <font name>" from the dropdown menu, where "<font name>" represents the name of the font you've selected.

Step 5: Confirm Uninstallation

Font Book will ask you to confirm the removal of the font. Click "Remove" to proceed.

Step 6: Your font is now uninstalled

Once the process is complete, the font will be uninstalled from your Mac, and you can close the Font Book application.
